Outside of the show ring and contests, the NAJRAE offers a unique opportunity for junior members and Pee Wees to come together through the Big- Little Mentor Program. The program starts at the beginning of the week with the pairing of Bigs and Littles. Bigs are junior members over the age of 15 who strive to encourage and motivate younger members to get involved with the NAJRAE. Littles are junior members under the age of 15 who receive encouragement and support from older members. Throughout the week the pair is encouraged to participate in some pretty sweet activities such as the Ice Cream Social and the Pee Wee Cookie Decorating. The goal of every Big is to connect with their little through mentorship and fun activities. Through their encouragement and positive attitudes, Bigs can help spark a passion within their Littles that they may not have found otherwise. All NAJRAE members are encouraged to enter the program in hopes of getting to know one another. Together, Bigs and Littles create a bright future for the Red Angus Breed.
